Suzanne’s consulting work is informed by her long career in arts leadership in New Mexico where she directed arts organizations for close to 30 years. She founded the contemporary art museum 516 ARTS in 2006 at the request of the McCune Charitable Foundation and launched its Fulcrum Fund grant program for artists in 2016 at the request of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Previously, she served as Executive Director of Magnifico Arts, Inc. and Program Director at the Harwood Art Center.
In addition to her skills in graphic design, writing, editing, and marketing, she has extensive experience in producing major exhibitions and large-scale collaborations; directing public relations campaigns; developing programs; building community partnerships; publishing; producing local, national and international events, conferences, and festivals; writing and managing budgets; fundraising; conducting project evaluations; managing staff and contractors; working closely with artists; managing boards and committees; and working with government, universities, and the public. She has curated numerous exhibitions and served as a juror for exhibitions and residencies.
